Our Curriculum

Our Program

At Little Champions Academy Child Care, we offer a comprehensive early childhood education program that emphasizes the development of skills in language, math, science, and social studies. Our multicultural curriculum is designed to provide your child with a strong foundation, celebrating traditions from a variety of cultures and encouraging pride in their identities while fostering appreciation and curiosity about the wider world. Our program caters to children ages 15 months ("I can do it myself!") to 5 years (preparing for kindergarten). We joyfully celebrate every milestone and nurture a lifelong love of learning.

Our classrooms incorporate bilingual learning elements in Russian and Spanish, fostering essential language skills from the start and helping children build confidence and independence. Our experienced and caring teachers work closely with parents to create a nurturing and supportive environment for your child. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families, including full-time care, part-time care, and drop-in care.

Our Goals:

We believe children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships.

Social-Emotional Growth: Helping children build friendships, share, take turns, and develop empathy.

Language Development: Encouraging communication through songs, stories, and bilingual exposure.

Cognitive Growth: Sparking curiosity with hands-on exploration, problem-solving, and creative thinking.

Physical Development: Strengthening both fine-motor skills (drawing, cutting, stacking) and gross-motor skills (running, climbing, riding tricycles).

Love of Learning: Inspiring joy in discovery so children see learning as fun and exciting.

Connecting with Families

Families are true partners in this program, which emphasizes bilingual learning as a key component of early childhood education. I believe children thrive when there is a strong connection between home and school. Daily communication, through photos or updates, helps parents feel connected to their child’s day. Family involvement is crucial; we invite parents to share their traditional culture, stories, and activities with the children, enriching our multicultural curriculum. It’s a wonderful way for everyone to learn and celebrate our community’s diversity. Celebrations of birthdays, cultural days, and seasonal events create joyful opportunities for community building. We also offer support, providing guidance on developmental milestones and sharing resources for early intervention or parenting support. By weaving families into the fabric of the program, children experience continuity between home and school, reinforcing their sense of belonging.

Indoor Envionment

The space features a cozy atmosphere enhanced by soft lighting and natural materials, ideal for early childhood education. Clearly defined areas include a block corner, art table, sensory bins, and a reading nook, fostering bilingual learning among toddlers. Low shelves allow children to reach materials independently, while bilingual labels, books, and visuals support language acquisition. Additionally, family photos and cultural items are displayed to honor children’s identities, enriching our multicultural curriculum.

Outdoor Environment

Our outdoor space serves as an extension of the classroom, where children engage in bilingual learning through play. The yard is thoughtfully divided into various areas for exploring, creating, moving, and sensory play, all integral to early childhood education. These outdoor activities foster physical, social, emotional, and mental growth in children while aligning with a multicultural curriculum. The use of natural materials stimulates curiosity and imagination, helping children to become independent, collaborate with peers, and appreciate the beauty of nature.
